You know you are naughty

February 01, 2018

Taah!

Who do you think you are lying to?
You know you are naughty.
And I know that you know you are less than perfect as a person
And you have done at least one thing in your life you knew was absolutely wrong.

So when you try and compare yourself with other people
Trying to judge them like your life should be any much better their own,
I do not know who you are trying to convince;

Yourself, or anyone else?

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard
Is what the bible says in the book of Romans chapter 3:23
About every person who lives on earth
Which includes you too.

But it is okay nonetheless,
You are not the only naughty person around
I am also am also naughty
And I know a few more other people that admit to being naughty as well as we are.

We even learn to become a happier family
regardless of all of the guilt we individually possess,

Because we know,

If we were to lay our individual flaws on a scale
Against all the good we might have done in our lives

Someone will find out that we are less than worthy of being alive right now

Compared to the last person you knew who died
Who was probably more innocent than you ever can be…

But we do not worry about all that anymore
It is actually nobody's guilt to bear any longer
(1st Peter 2:24)

Just think about things this way…

All you have done and all that has been done to you in your life till now is in the past. (Philippians 3:13) (Isaiah 43:18-19) (Matthew 6:15)
You are right here,
At this very moment of time and place
Due to a wondrously sufficient amount of grace that you (and I) know you do not truly deserve through your efforts alone.

So, this is what I suggest you do from now on;

Learn to live your life the best way you can (Philippians 3:14)
And do things you know you can gladly do in the right and most honest ways possible. (Colossians 3:23-24) (2nd Timothy 2:15)

Keep on doing those two things for as long as you live,
And someday,
You just might be worthy of this wonderful life you graciously have right now.

You can certainly become a better person
If you unquestionably tried your best to be.

How was your day?

  1. Thank God for his reckless love...
"Faith makes a fool of what makes sense
But grace found my heart where logic ends
When justice called for all my debts
The friend of sinners came instead"
